This month, MG&J Jewelry Co., ltd, my fine jewellery brand, had the privilege of collaborating with Cambridge ASEAN Business Club and Japan SIG to host a cultural exchange and fine jewellery runway show at the University Arms Hotel, Cambridge. It was a joyful celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and community.
This event brought together students from diverse backgrounds to showcase traditional attire, cultural storytelling, and exquisite jewelleries. I am incredibly grateful to our friendly but fierce Business School Dean Gishan Dissanaike, who not only attended, but also delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of supporting entrepreneurship and cultural appreciation and to Juliana Kozak Rogo, our wonderful MBA Programme Director, for being a constant supporter of student-led initiatives across the School and always encouraging us to bring our creative ideas to life.

And also, to Professor Jaideep Prabhu and his Marketing and Innovation for Emerging Economies class were a true inspiration to me – I have learned so much from him, and his insights have deeply influenced my journey and Professor Madeleine Rauch whose International Business has opened my eyes to possibilities and to Conrad Chua, Executive MBA Director, who joined us in celebrating this special evening and provided the unwavering support the Cambridge MBA has for student-driven projects.
A huge thank you to Sean Lai and Timothy Cayanga, Chairs of ASEAN SIG, and Masaya (Matthew) Ozaki Chair of Japan SIG, whose collaboration, leadership, dedication were instrumental in making this event possible. Their enthusiasm and leadership truly brought this vision to life.
A heartfelt thank you to our student government president Nath Samaratunga and our CBSC Treasure Amanda Boadi, not just for their incredible support from the ideation stage of this event to the successful execution but also for their amazing DJ skills which kept the energy high and the event ambience unforgettable!

I know I speak for everyone when I say we were all blown away by so much talent and beauty our MBA models have. Our amazing master of ceremony Katie Bradfield, was nothing short of amazing and effortlessly carried the whole event while our fearless Azra Fazal made sure the jewelleries were safe and secured.

I am also deeply grateful to my MBA classmates and our friends, who took the time to attend this event, despite their busy schedules and numerous commitments. Your support meant the world to me.
One of the most valuable aspects of the the Cambridge MBA is how it enables students to personalise their journey – giving us the space, resources, and encouragement to turn our passions into reality. The collaborative environment fostered by Cambridge Judge Business School played a crucial role in making this event possible.
