Theme: Driving Innovation, Growth, and Global Influence
Date: May 17th, 2025 | Location: Cambridge Judge Business School
Now in its 10th year, the Cambridge Africa Business Conference (CABC) returns with a
bold vision for the continent’s future. Organised by the Cambridge Africa Business
Network (CABN), this flagship gathering brings together leading voices from across
Africa and the diaspora – business leaders, policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs,
creatives, and academics – for a day of transformative dialogue and connection.
Under the theme, “Africa Tomorrow: Driving Innovation, Growth, and Global Influence,”
CABC 2025 will explore how Africa can accelerate development through innovation,
strategic investments, and cultural leadership.
Attendees will engage in 4 dynamic panel sessions focused on unlocking capital, powering strategic industries, leveraging technology for inclusive growth, and positioning Africa’s creative economy on the global stage.
Confirmed speakers include Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, Emeka Emuwa, and Senator
Jimoh Ibrahim, among others. The conference will also celebrate African excellence
beyond the boardroom – with authentic cuisine, fashion showcases, and artistic
interludes enriching the experience.
CABC is more than a conference – it’s a movement of builders, thinkers, and doers
reshaping Africa’s narrative. Whether you’re a visionary entrepreneur, impact investor,
policy shaper, or future leader, this is your room.
Meet the MBAs supporting and leading the Conference this year:

Tinashe Makamure, Co-Chair (Operations), CABN

What’s one panel, speaker, or moment you’re most looking forward to at the
conference?
“I’m genuinely looking forward to the Finance panel. We’ve managed to pull together an
incredible line up; each bringing unique perspectives on private equity, development finance, and impact investing across the region. I’m hoping the discussion will give further insight into what it takes to scale capital across African markets.”

Chidinma Chukwuma, President & Co-Chair, CABN
Chidinma is an MBA candidate at Cambridge Judge Business School and President of the
Cambridge Africa Business Network (CABN). A trained lawyer and Forte Fellow, she
previously worked at Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, advising clients like Amazon and
Universal Music Group on private equity, M&A, and data protection. At CABN, she leads
strategy, partnerships, and programming for the 2025 Conference.
Why should someone attend the 2025 Cambridge Africa Business Conference and why?
“If you care about Africa’s future and want to be part of shaping it, this is the room to be in.
The 2025 Cambridge Africa Business Conference is where investors, entrepreneurs,
policymakers, and changemakers converge – not just to talk, but to collaborate. With panels
covering everything from financing innovation to unlocking Africa’s creative economy,
attendees will gain cutting-edge insights on the trends, technologies, and strategic
investments driving the continent forward.
Whether you’re a founder scaling a start up, an investor eyeing sustainable returns, or a
student charting your path, CABC offers a unique opportunity to engage with Africa’s
boldest thinkers and doers. Beyond the panels, it’s also a cultural experience – complete with authentic African cuisine, fashion, and art – that connects ideas with identity.
This isn’t just another conference. It’s a space for people who are impatient to build. People
like you.”
