And just like that 50% of my MBA is complete! It is so easy to keep doing stuff without acknowledging and reflecting what you did and how you did it. Now when I recall the 2 terms, a few things pop out to me:

  • Women in Tech: In the first 2 week of starting the MBA, I am proud to have started the hashtag Women in Tech university club. As a data scientist who wants to increase representation of women in STEM, I hope that this club paves the way for more discussion not just at Cambridge Judge Business School but all over the University of Cambridge. My team and I hosted 2 great sessions, and I am grateful for all the support we received.
  • The MBA Cambridge Venture Project (CVP): My CVP was an exciting project that gave me a chance to create a pricing and membership structure for Cambridge Wireless, an international platform for over 1000 tech companies across the wider Cambridge ecosystem.
  • Negotiations Lab: This was by far my favourite course in Cambridge. I learned from NASA astronaut Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, Lord Karan Bilimoria and Cambridge Judge Professor Mark de Rond, that negotiation is important to ensure that each party is better off and that it is important to take up space while managing one’s emotions. I am grateful to all my classmates who gave me realistic feedback on how to take up space based on all the simulations we did in this Negotiations course.
  • Electives: Choosing electives gave me the power to tailor my MBA in the way I wanted to. All my electives (Strategic Pricing, Topics in Financial Analysis and Digital Marketing) gave me a new insight. To my surprise, I really enjoyed Topics in Financial Analysis especially when we were valuing NVIDIA (after DeepSeek!). Being acknowledged and winning the first prize for our analysis by Sami Aysoy, Jan Metzger and Mike Laven was the cherry on the cake. Having a 3-hour lecture with Gonzalve Bich was nothing short of amazing! Super grateful to Cambridge Judge Accounting Professor, Jenny Chu, for organising this amazing elective!

  • AI4Biz Hackathon: I always wanted to participate in a Hackathon and Cambridge’s MBA AI Hackathon was a fun day for us to create our personal assistants using prompts (my team and I obviously created Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada as our assistant). We also learned so much about different AI tools to make work flows easier.
  • Cambridge Boundary Run: While working in Sydney, I discovered running, thanks to all my colleagues. I did the City to Surf (14k) which boosted my confidence. Since then, running has helped me de-stress. Yesterday, I completed my first half marathon in Cambridge! That was the longest race I have ever done but thanks to Cambridge and all my new MBA colleagues, I have learned to challenge myself and to take on difficult things.

Finally, I think the best part has been meeting some amazing and ambitious people who have helped me push myself further! Now off to start my MBA Global Consulting Project.
