It has been over a month since I completed my first term of the MBA programme at Cambridge Judge Business School. Reflecting on the past few months, here are some of the highlights from this incredible journey so far:

  • Going back to learning and loving Accounting and Corporate Finance (albeit, it was much less of a traumatic experience than what I had for my CA finals!)
  • Rediscovering my love for Economics after 10 years with our MBA Microeconomics course
  • Fueling my passion to understand how business strategies work in a market and firm-based economy with real life use cases in all of Professor Raghuvendra Rau’s classes (A standout moment was discussing the Bollywood movie Lagaan with my international cohort – a perfect intersection of entertainment and learning!)
  • The best of the lot – the opportunity to collaborate with my very talented teammates Allara Uota, Kyoungmin Lee, Asad Ashraf and Juan Carlos Rivero on a real-time consulting project for the Cambridge Enterprise on crafting a go-to-market strategy for an Innovation Summit. The late nights, the heated brainstorming sessions complemented by the applications of the frameworks of Management Praxis coursework, aided us to define a compelling strategy and learn from the best in the industries. It is said that the first experiences are always special and as the first study group in our MBA journey, we already realise how much we miss each other.
  • Last but not least, organising a Diwali event with my CIBF teammates – Meghana Prakash, Rutuja Kolhe, Phalguni Sanghi, Tanya Jain, and Saran Sundararajan. Since arriving in the UK, I have often grappled with homesickness. Being part of the Cambridge India Business Forum has not only helped me stay connected to my roots but also allowed me to contribute to the cause of development in one of the largest emerging economies. This was one of the primary reasons I chose the MBA programme at Cambridge. Organising this Diwali event was a particularly special experience, blending cultural celebration with a sense of community and purpose.

As I progress through this Lent Term, I am tailoring my MBA journey with electives to align with my career aspirations. I am passionate about finance, business strategy, digital transformation projects, and exploring innovative solutions. Outside the classroom, I find joy in traveling to the mountains, indulging in photography, and taking an occasional break for reading, yoga and meditation.
